A connection between two careers

The Army Reserve and Boeing signed a partnership proclamation in Washington on October 12, according to an Army account published October 15. The agreement connects soldiers, dependents and veterans with employment pathways, internships, apprenticeships and credentialing opportunities.

The Army describes the arrangement as nonbinding, without an expiration date or a cost to either party. Boeing joins nearly 300 organizations working with the Reserve’s Private Public Partnership Office.

Why it matters

Reserve service often sits alongside a civilian career. A useful partnership can help translate military experience into language an employer understands, while giving employers a clearer picture of the training and scheduling commitments that come with service.

An agreement is an opening, rather than a hiring guarantee. Applicants still need to review the requirements of individual positions. The Reserve’s partnership office is the appropriate starting point for current opportunities and participation details.
